May 18, 2014. Parade to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom. Free. 2pm. Quarterfield Road/Crane Highway, Glen Burnie.

Tea Party Festival
May 22-25, 2014. Tea Toss Reenactment to commemorate Chestertown's protest of British rule, plus colonial parade, raft race, street performances, crafts and more. Free. Toss the Tory Ballots available for purchase. See website for schedule. Venues throughout Chestertown.

Stars and Stripes Festival
May 24-26, 2014. Family day picnic, local entertainment, moonlight cruise, Vietnam Memorial dedication and other events to honor those who gave their lives in service. Free, some events require fee. See website for schedule. Venues throughout Chesapeake Beach.

"Those Honored Dead..." Memorial Day Weekend at Fort McHenry
May 24-26, 2014. Daily ranger-led talks and wreath-laying ceremonies at Westminster, Greenmount and Loudon Cemeteries. Free with $7 admission. Ages 15 and under free. See website for schedule. Fort McHenry, Baltimore.

Bowie Memorial Day Parade
May 24, 2014. Salute to fallen heroes who gave their lives to defend the nation. Free. 11am-1pm. Bowie High School Annex, Bowie.

Hometown Holidays
May 24-26, 2014. Music festival featuring over 30 live performances, armed forces tribute and Memorial Day Parade. Free. 2-10pm Saturday and Sunday, 9am Monday. Rockville Town Center, Rockville.

National Memorial Day Concert
May 25, 2014. Performance by National Symphony Orchestra featuring special guest General Colin L. Powell. Free. 8-9:30pm. West Lawn of the US Capitol, Washington, D.C.

Annapolis Memorial Day Parade
Patriotic recognition of those who have served and are serving our nation. Free. 10am. Amos Garrett Boulevard, Annapolis.

Memorial Day Ceremony
May 26, 2014. Music, speeches, wreath laying and 21-gun salute in honor of armed forces men and women who died in service. Free. 10am-noon. Circle of the Immortals, Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, Timonium.

Memorial Day Remembrance
May 26, 2014. Event honoring current and past local service men and women who served in armed forces. Free. 10am. War Memorial, Cedar Grove United Methodist Church, Deale.

Memorial Day Sail
May 26, 2014. Celebrate Memorial Day with a sail on the Nathan. Free. Sails depart at 12:30, 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30pm. Long Wharf, Cambridge.

National Memorial Day Parade
May 26, 2014. Floats, high school marching bands, veterans, service members, local and national celebrities and more to honor those who died in service. Free. 2pm. Constitution Avenue, Washington, D.C.
