Tea Party Festival
May 22-24. Tea Toss Reenactment to commemorate Chestertown's protest of British rule, plus colonial parade, raft race, street performances, crafts and more. Free. Toss the Tory Ballots available for purchase. See website for schedule. Venues throughout Chestertown.

Stars and Stripes Festival
May 25-25. Family day picnic, local entertainment, moonlight cruise, Vietnam Memorial dedication and other events to honor those who gave their lives in service. Free, some events require fee. See website for schedule. Venues throughout Chesapeake Beach.

Memorial Day Parade, Bowie
May 23. Bowie's' salute to all service men and women and the veterans who have served in the past. Free. 11am-2pm. Acorn Hill Park, Bowie. 301-809-3078, 

Hometown Holidays
May 23-25. Music festival featuring live performances, armed forces tribute and Memorial Day Parade. Free. Sat. and Sun., 2-10pm; Mon. 9am-1pm. Rockville Town Center, Rockville.

National Memorial Day Concert
May 24. Star-studded lineup , hosted by Tony Award winner Joe Mantegna and Emmy Award winner Gary Sinise. Free. 8-9:30pm. U.S. Capitol, West Lawn, Washington D.C.

Memorial Day Parade, Annapolis
May 25. Patriotic recognition of those who have served and are serving our nation. Free. 10am. Amos Garrett Boulevard, Annapolis.

Memorial Day Ceremony
May 25. Music, wreath laying and 21-gun salute in honor of armed forces men and women who died in service. Keynote Speaker: Col. Tom Manion, USMC (Ret), co-author of "Brothers Forever." Free. 10am-noon. Circle of the Immortals, Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, Timonium.

National Memorial Day Parade
May 25. Floats, high school marching bands, veterans, service members, local and national celebrities and more to honor those who died in service. Free. 2pm. Constitution Avenue, Washington, D.C.
