Getting out and about this summer is at the top of the list for a lot of families. With restrictions easing and the the weather getting warmer, it’s time to go adventure and make new discoveries while enjoying some old favorite pastimes. To help families make the most out of the whole summer out there, we are adding to our favorite 100 Days of Summer campaign something we think they are going love: The Summer Field Guide.
How it Works:
100 Days of Summer is an online campaign running from Memorial Day until Labor Day. Each day a new activity is announced and posted on ChesapeakeFamily.com as well as on social media, and in the bi-weekly enewsletters.
Sponsors receive a web tile on the 100 Days of Summer Blog good for four weeks, plus a posting in the blog, on social and in the e-newsletter.
New this year is the Summer Field Guide, a book filled with activities and destinations in the DMV and designed to be used all summer.
What’s the Field Guide:
The new Field Guide for kids and their families aims to provide a book full of ideas to get started on their next adventure. There will be great hiking locations, list of places to have some fun, and other wonderful outing ideas. There will also be pages for kids to document their discoveries and adventures. We are filling it with a ton of activities for families to do and are looking for other business to jump in on the fun!
Open to all levels at the Plus and above, the Field Guide will feature listings and special offers from sponsors. The guides will be mailed to subscribers by the end of May. Also, daily blog posts will refer to the Field Guide with a new activity.
