All couples have that special something they like to do when they get a night out. It could be music, dancing, food or a movie.

The Evers, who have three children ages 10 to 19, met in the Netherlands where Aloys was raised. So when they discovered the unique venue in downtown Annapolis complete with live music, food and drinks in an intimate setting, it gave them a little glimpse of home.

“It’s like we are back in a cozy party place in Holland,” Ilanit says.

Listen to live music at Rams Head On Stage

Seating just over 300 people in a cozy dining room setting, Ram’s Head On Stage is perfect for a relaxing night out to enjoy live music or the periodic comedian. And since the club hosts more than 400 shows a year, it’s easy to find a performance to fit your taste. In the past, artists have ranged from the country sounds of Wynonna Judd to ’80s pop star Rick Springfield to the local Irish band O’Malley’s March.

Experiencing a show at Ram’s Head On Stage is like “having your favorite artists perform a concert in your living room,” says Laura Price, director of marketing.

After purchasing tickets to a show, you may also make reservations for the free Premium On Stage Experience, which includes VIP treatment with discounted prices, complimentary beverages and more.

If you can’t make it to dinner before or after the show through the Premium Experience, you can order right from your table while you enjoy the music.

Go dancing at Cancun Cantina

Date for Taste Cancun Cantina WIf dancing is what you love, check out Cancun Cantina in Hanover where you can two-step or line dance almost any night of the week.

Whether you want to learn a few new dance moves or just get in a little practice, Cancun Cantina offers a variety of free dance lessons included in the general admission. Drop in for a country dance lesson on a Wednesday or Thursday night from 7:30 to 9 p.m. or try a salsa lesson Sundays at 7:15 p.m.

Want to skip the lessons and head straight for the dance floor? Every Friday and Saturday night, dance to live country music on the main dance floor or rock and hip hop on the floor in an enclosed deck. Be sure to check the website for club hours before heading out.
