Summer is the season for swimming pools! Easy entertainment for long, hot summer days, a pool day can be an opportunity both for kids to splash and have fun and for parents to get a much-needed break by the poolside. These are especially great places to hang out during the current heatwave.
Here are the hours for five of Anne Arundel County’s aquatic centers and swimming pools. See what best fits into your schedule for summer 2025—and leap straight into the welcoming water!
North Arundel Aquatic Center | 7888 Crain Hwy, Glen Burnie, MD 21061
An indoor aquatic facility that ensures swimming is accessible year-round, the North Arundel Aquatic Center is home to a competition pool, a leisure pool and a poolside spa for adults, amid other amenities the span different age groups including a water park, adult aquatic programs and youth swim lessons.
North Arundel Aquatic Center is open during the summer Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Arundel Olympic Swim Center | 2690 Riva Road, Annapolis, MD 21401
Arundel Olympic Swim Center is the county’s largest public year-round swimming facility. During the summer months, pool hours are Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 9:45 p.m., 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.
The Hotel at Arundel Preserve | 7795 Arundel Mills Blvd, Hanover, MD 21076
With a gym, restaurants, and plenty of shopping options, The Hotel at Arundel Preserve has amenities convenient to pool-goers who might not have time to head to other facilities or businesses across town. The hotel’s indoor pool is open Monday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Kenneth R. Dunn Municipal Pool | Pump House Rd, Annapolis, MD 21403
In addition to a splash pad and swimming pool, Kenneth R. Dunn Municipal Pool also offers activities such as water aerobics and lap swim. The pool is open through Labor Day from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and will close early at 5 p.m. on July 4.
Crofton Village Pool | 134 Holiday Ct #308, Annapolis, MD 21401
Crofton Village Pool boasts visitor access to four pools at its two recreational facilities— Nantucket and Wellfleet. With two competition pools, two baby pools and handicapped accessible bathhouses, along with other amenities, Crofton Village Pool has a variety of options to serve all ages.
When schools are closed during the summer, pool hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Sunday at the Nantucket Pool and at the Wellfleet Pool, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. the remainder of the week.
