About Face: BareMinerals Remix collection serves serious spring brights

BareMineralsRemixCollection1 ChesapeakeFamilyAboutFaceBareMinerals adds new items to their READY eyeshadow and blush lines with the Remix collection for spring 2013. Along with Lip Sheers, Secret Radiance All-Over Face Color, mascara, bronzer, and, well, a bunch of other stuff, the Remix collection probably has something for you.

It can be a bit overwhelming to walk by a makeup counter and see dozens of products for that season, no? Every few months or so, brands push eye and lip and face and nail items on us, promising that these colors are the hot new thing and you must have them. Maybe I’m weird, but I get so flustered in those situations—I far prefer being able to peruse on my own time. I appreciate the knowledge of professionals who work in the industry, but sometimes I just want to explore on my own. Only in that way can I get really comfortable with colors or products I might have first found daunting—mastering them on my own is integral.

And that’s what really warmed to the BareMinerals Remix collection for spring 2013, which includes more than 10 items, some new and some in limited-edition packaging. I’ll admit that I initially was quite daunted when I saw the collection online and in person at Sephora and Ulta—these pigment levels are intense, and I couldn’t immediately imagine myself wearing these bright citrine, aqua, and berry shades on a normal basis. But after playing around with these items, which include lip sheers, eyeshadow quads, and various face products, I became far more comfortable—and, well, fell a bit in love.

What in BareMinerals’ Remix collection helped me move past my initial hesitation? For my review, read on!
