+ OPI “The Muppets” collection(fifth photo, bottom two rows). I’m so happy “The Muppets“The Muppets” was a great holiday film, and I’m so happy OPI’s collection inspired by the flick includes a bunch of great nail polishes, too. Awesomeness inspires awesomeness! The 12-piece “Muppets” collection, named after Kermit, Miss Piggy and other well-known Muppets characters, is divided into metallics and shimmers and insanely crazy glitters, so you can wear some of the colors for work and leave the others for a night out. The metallics and shimmers include (first row) deep raisin and gold Pepe’s Purple Passion; champagne foil with orange glitter Designer, de Better!; bronze and pink Warm & Fozzie; pinkish tomato red Animal-istic; raspberry red with flakie glitter Meep-Meep-Meep; and bold red with gold shimmer Wocka Wocka!. The glitters (second row) are bright green and silver Fresh Frog of Bel Air; magenta and silver Divine Swine; fuchsia and silver Gettin’ Miss Piggy with It; multicolored Rainbow Connection; pink, blue and silver Excuse Moi!; and bright blue and silver Gone Gonzo!. Whereas the first group is opaque in two coats, the glitters will need four or five to get you full coverage, or just use them as topcoats ($8.50 each, your local Ulta). Whichever you use for your manicure, I’m sure Miss Piggy would be proud.

+ VMV Hypoallergenics Are You Glistening? set (fifth photo, first row). I’m switching gears from nail polish to skincare with this three-piece moisturizing set, which includes full-sizes of Creammmy Rich Intensive Moisture Milk, Know-It-Oil and Armada Lip Balm. (Separately, the products in the set would cost you $92.) The moisture milk, gentle but rich, is perfect for dry skin; the oil, made from organic virgin coconut oil, can be used on your face and body; and the lip balm prevents wrinkles and fights against chapped lips in the extreme heat or cold. The holidays may be over, but winter is just beginning — and this set will help me protect my skin from all the windy, bitter season has to offer ($31, VMV Hypoallergenics).
