One thing I’d like to do more of this year is learn to do eyeshadow looks with more than one shade at once; I think picking colors that go well together and learning how to blend them properly will be a fun, creative project.
I’ve only heard good things about L’Oreal Infallible 24HR Eyeshadow, and I look forward to playing around with the shades Cherie Merie, Dive Right In, Strawberry Blonde, and With a Twist—the rusty red of Cherie Merie and the blue tinge of With a Twist are so pretty.
I think cream eyeshadows might be a bit trickier to blend, but Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream is one of the best formulas I’ve ever used, and you should definitely try it at Sephora the next time you’re there. It has a soft texture and creamy consistency, and although the three colors I have are limited edition—teal green 52, medium purple 54, and iridescent green 53—their range of more than 20 colors means you’ll probably find something you like.
AVAILABILITY: $7 to $9 for L’Oreal Infallible 24HR Eyeshadow, at your local drugstore; $23 for Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream at Sephora.com and Sephora stores.
