Well, Nicole by OPI has been on a tear this year, no? The brand keeps pumping out collections and each new one brings something different and unexpected to the table. This holiday season, we’re seeing two new mini collections from them: a six-shade expansion of their Kardashian Kolor collection and seven new shades that are CVS Pharmacy exclusives.
The brand’s six additional Kardashian Kolors bring to mind last year’s holiday glitters, which were jam-packed with ridiculous shimmer. These new shades follow that theme: A Gold Winter’s Night, a mix of gold, pink, and blue glitter particles and bar glitter; All is Glam, All is Bright, a mix of very fine red and silver glitter particles; Deck the Dolls, a very shimmery and shiny teal blue; Here We Kome A-Karoling, a shimmery, vampy dark purple; Kardashing Through the Snow, small circle particles of multicolored glitter; and Keeping Up with Santa, a metallic dark red.
A little more traditional are the CVS Pharmacy exclusive shades, which are less glittery and more typically feminine. The shades are A Pinker Shade of Pale, a very frosty pale pink; Always a Silver Lining, a frosty silver with little gold flecks; Don’t Overpink It, a soft medium pink crème; Feeling Grapeful, a medium purple crème; I Sea You and Raise You, a bright sky blue crème; Marooned in Paradise, a dark shimmery maroon; and Personally Speaking…, a frosty rose pink.
There are lots of frosts and girly colors in this collection, which might make them good stocking stuffers for young daughters, nieces, or other present recipients who are just beginning to be interested in makeup and don’t need any crazy shades.
