Essie has always offered salon-level polishes in a number of feminine, pastel shades, but in the past year, their collections have really taken an inventive turn.

To put it simply, bright greens and blues, glitter-infused shades, and even some absurdly shimmery topcoats—Essie is really stepping it up.

First released earlier this summer was the Poppy-Razzi collection of neons. The four shades in the collection are neon orange, yellow-based Action; orange-y tomato red Bazooka; bright coral Camera; and bright fuchsia pink Lights. You can wear these on their own or over a white base for brighter color.

Released next was the Bikini So Teeny collection, a mixture of blues, greens, and pinks. Included in the collection were All Tied Up, a rose with gold shimmer; light blue with silver shimmer Bikini So Teeny; lavender pink creme Cascade Cool; bright orange creme Fear or Desire; medium green creme Mojito Madness; and medium pink creme Off the Shoulder.

Mojito Madness, All Tied Up, and Bikini So Teeny are my personal favorites here; they’re so unexpectedly bright!
