So much China Glaze, so little time! The company has been on the grind since 2012, unleashing collections at a ridiculously rapid rate. We only have so many nails; take pity on us, China Glaze!
The company kicked things off this summer with their vast Summer Neons collection, 12 shades of blinding intensity.
The first half of the collection is Beach Cruise-r, a purplish fuchsia with multicolored shimmer; orangey coral Flirty Tankini; blue-based pink Hang-ten Toes; ultra-bright and shimmery neon green I’m with the Lifeguard; softer pink Love’s a Beach; and yellow, fake-cheese orange Orange You Hot?
The second half of Summer Neons includes orange-tinged, lighter pink Pink Plumeria; bright blue jelly Ride the Waves; lighter, shimmery blue Splish Splash; green-tinged highlighter neon yellow Sunkissed; red-tinged neon coral Surfin’ for Boys; and medium berry purple Under the Boardwalk.
Next up from China Glaze were the On Safari and New Bohemian collections, the former a variety of dusky, dusty fall shades, and the latter a highly reflective and metallic mix of duochromes.
Included in On Safari were lipstick red creme Adventure Red-y; dirty orange creme Desert Sun; grey with purple shimmer Jungle Queen; cobalt blue creme Man Hunt; and burgundy, dried-blood-like creme Prey Tell.
Included in New Bohemian were teal with gold shimmer Deviantly Daring and green with gold shimmer Unpredictable.
Wear them on their own, or layer with China Glaze’s Crackle Glitter topcoats, which add some texture: purplish fuchsia Glam-more, light aqua blue Gleam Me Up, lime green Jade-d, and medium lilac Luminous Lavender.
Be aware, however, that the Crackle Glitter shades are very fine, small glitter, so you’ll get a subtle, not necessarily dramatic, look by using them.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY: $5 each for the Summer Neons collection at Ulta or Sally Beauty Supply, or about $3-4.50 at various online retailers like Head2ToeBeauty.com and Nailetc.com. $7 each for the On Safari collection at Ulta.com; $9 each for New Bohemian collection at Ulta.com; $3.50 each for Crackle Glitter at DiscountBeautyCenter.com.
