I have one word to describe my weekend: Beach! My parents and I take beach trips every summer, and although they’re never very long—two or three days, max—I always try to pack in as many activities as possible. Getting a tan at Ocean City. Eating ice cream and Fisher’s popcorn on the boardwalk. Shopping at the outlets in Rehobeth. Goodbye, money; hello, happiness!
In previous years, I haven’t given much thought to what I bring with me—except for sunscreen and lip balm, I don’t really plan what else to bring. But this year, having spent the past 10 months or so writing About Face, I’m putting more consideration into what I bring along for the trip. What items will keep me clean and sane during the long car ride? How do I protect myself from the sun at the beach? And what fun accessories can I bring along for my time on the boardwalk?
