Hanukkah and Christmas have both passed. You’ve put away the menorah, packed up the tree, finished all your holiday festivities. For kids, it’s almost time to go back to school; for parents, you’ve probably already gone back to work. It’s about to be 2013, and it seems like 2012 is going out without a bang.

… Well, maybe. But if you have any New Year’s Eve plans, take the day as your final chance to experiment with makeup last year, to try one last look you’ve been thinking about, to do something fun and crazy.

To that end, I’ve compiled a list of some great high-impact products, cosmetics that will pack a lot of punch. That means glitter and shimmer, opaque colors and concentrated pigments for your cheeks, eyes, lips, hair, and nails. It might not all be your cup of tea, but there should be something in here for everyone, no matter how subdued or intense you like your look.
