Plan to take the family on an archeological dig this spring organized by the Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum.
The Calvert County museum invites you to excavate with museum archaeologists at the site of an 18th-century plantation on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. (weather permitting) beginning May 7. You can also join them in the Maryland Archaeological Conservation Laboratory on Tuesdays and Thursdays where time will be spent cleaning the artifacts that have been excavated in order to ‘rediscover’ what was found.
