Audition to sing the national anthem at a Baysox game

SingingDoes your kid have what it takes to belt out the national anthem before a stadium crowd? Now’s the chance!

The Bowie Baysox baseball team is hosting live auditions Saturday, March 15 to sing the national anthem before a home game in 2014.

Auditions are at Prince George’s Stadium. Gates open for registration at 9 a.m. with auditions beginning at 9:30 a.m.
Baysox Marketing Director Brandan Kaiser judges the audition, which is open to singers as well as small groups and instrumentalists.
All participants must register, and auditions will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Singers and musicians need to arrive prepared; words sheets are not allowed during the audition.
Prince George’s Stadium is located at 4101 Crain Hwy., Bowie.

Large church or school groups interested in performing the national anthem before a game should call the Baysox at 301-464-4880.
Baysox baseball opens the 2014 season Thursday, April 3, against the Harrisburg Senators. The last game of the 2014 season will be Sept. 1. For more information, visit the Bowie Baysox.
