Olivia Ladd, of Annapolis, was a flowerpot when she was 3 months. The costume was was handmade by grandmother, Helene Oliver, who has made her costumes every year since. “We brainstorm every year about Olivia’s costume choice and she does the rest. No pattern needed. She lives in Florida, it’s not easy to have fittings. Good thing she is so experienced, the costumes haven’t needed any adjustments yet! I never like to see a picture of the costume before it’s shipped. Olivia and I open the package together so we can both see it for the first time,” says mom Amy Ladd. | |
Louise Jacobs, from Dunkirk, dressed as a pumpkin at 3 momhts. The idea came from Pinterest. “Initially, she was unsure about it but warmed to it quickly,” says mom Krista Jacobs. |
