Ballet Theatre of Maryland to Hold Auditions for Children’s Roles
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Ballet Theatre of Maryland (BTM), the state’s premier professional ballet company, will be holding auditions for children’s roles in its upcoming performances of Aladdin and The Nutcracker on Sunday, September 11, 2011 from 1:00pm to 4:30pm at the Merritt Annex, 1981 Moreland Pkwy, Bldg 4A, Bay 4, Annapolis, MD 21401. Dancers can audition for either production or both. The schedule is as follows:
12:00pm – Registration begins
1:00 – 2:00pm
Ages 12-18, Intermediate 2 – Advanced Level Dancers
Aladdin auditions for Court Entertainers
Nutcracker auditions for Ladies in Waiting & Shepherdesses
2:30pm – 3:30pm
Ages 8-12, Beginning Ballet 1 – Intermediate Level Dancers
Aladdin auditions for Aladdin’s Band of Thieves
Nutcracker auditions for Gypsies and Chinese Sticks
4:00pm – 4:30pm
Ages 6-10, Pre-Ballet – Beginning Ballet 1 Dancers
Nutcracker auditions for Princesses and Cookies
Performances will be held at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts
