Belief lives in our house — FranklyStein

cardWhen Santa came to our house last night, he found this card waiting for him on the coffee table next to the tree. Jonah put it out for him. It’s a thank you note for all the toys he hoped he was getting. He even taped a candy cane inside.

At 9, Jonah still firmly believes in Santa. I wasn’t sure about this until the other day, when the card appeared on the coffee table. And soon after, I over heard a friend of his asked him if he believed. Without missing a beat, Jonah answered, “Yes, of course I do.”

Sometimes, I find myself wishing Jonah would grow up a little faster. It can be hard to maintain all that the belief entails. But then the big day comes and there is nothing like the magic of Santa.

So this Christmas, I am thankful there is still a thread of belief in our house. It radiates from Jonah and warms my heart.

I hope the belief lives in your house today, and that your family has a wonderful Christmas.
