Tanyard Springs is a 12 year old community in Glen Burnie that is being recognized as a best place to live in Maryland because of its wealth of amenities, easy access to Baltimore and BWI Airport, affordable housing and family friendly atmosphere. 

Tanyard Springs is a Homeowners Association community that was established in 2009, and consists of 1,424 homes (171 Single Family Homes and 1,253 Townhomes). There are over 110 acres of common area as well as:

• 47 pet stations throughout the community

Demographics

Nearly 2,000 people live in Tanyard Springs. About 30% of the households have children under the age of 18 and approximately 28% of residents are from a minority group, as compared to the state of Maryland average of 41.8%. Homeowners live in 83% of all houses. 

Recreation

Tanyard Springs really shines with its offering of outdoor recreation and a 24-hour Fitness Center. A dog park and the option to rent a plot in the community garden are two of the more unusual features of this community. Community sponsored events help neighbors get to know each other.
