Goals of the Big Latch On
The number of breasfeeding mothers has increased dramatically in recent years, yet the cultural stigma of breastfeeding in public has remained. Countless mothers have faced critism and hostility from the public as they have fed their hungry babies in malls, grocery stores, and school parking lots. The goal of the Big Latch On is to raise awareness of breastfeeding and to help communities to positively support women breastfeeding in public places.
This year’s Latch On starts at exactly 10:30 a.m. at the Food Court in the Annapolis Mall. Sign-in is from 9-10:20 a.m. For more information, visit the group’s Facebook page at 3rd Annual Big Latch On.
