The kids will have a blast at Rocket Day at Port Discovery Children’s Museum in Baltimore Saturday.
Port Discovery will be offering a day of programming designed to inspire the young minds of future space explorers with its first Rocket Day on Nov. 16, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Targeted to kids ages 6 years and older, Rocket Day visitors will have the chance to learn more about space science, view space artifacts, and build and launch their own rockets.
Representatives from the Volanz Aerospace Inc. Spaceflight Institute, a non-profit organization that provides space science and space-related high technology education opportunities to students of all ages, will be giving educational presentations and presenting space-related artifacts every 30 minutes between noon and 3:30 p.m.
In addition, from 10 a.m.–1 p.m., representatives from the National Electronics Museum will be helping children build their own foam rockets and test-launch various rockets on an air compressor launcher.
Admission to Port Discovery is $13.95 for ages 2 and up. To learn more about Port Discovery’s exhibits and upcoming events, visit Port Discovery’s website.
