The Downtown Sailing Center (DSC) began offering youth sailing programs in 1990 to make sailing available and convenient to all Baltimore-area children. Sailing is an exhilarating way for children to develop teamwork skills, improve concentration, and become more self-confident. Most importantly, our camp focuses on the FUN your child wants while providing the safe environment you look for as a parent.
All of our summer camps maintain a 5:1 camper/instructor ratio or better. Most of our campers will experience a 4:1 camper/instructor ratio throughout their entire camp experience. This small-group setting enables our staff to provide customized, personalized education and care for your child.
The Downtown Sailing Center is incorporating STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) Education throughout our Junior Summer Program. Each week, participants will work on a fun and engaging activity dedicated to expanding their knowledge of the marine environment. The DSC uses the US Sailing Curriculum as the foundation for these fun projects. Activities include water quality testing, the “great clay boat” challenge, and a special module on simple machines.Website: downtownsailing.orgAddress: 1425 Key Highway
