Would you like to share your Christmas Joy with a family who is struggling in some terrible ways?
H.O.P.E. continues to help with Christmas for so many families throughout the year but especially now when it should be a season of joy and giving but for many it is hardship. They just received notice concerning a mother and her five children who up to recently have been homeless.
The children range in age from 3 to 11. The home they had been renting was destroyed during the hurricane as a huge tree fell on the house and collapsed the roof. All their possessions were lost or full of mold. After moving from one situation to the next, they have finally moved into another rented home but have absolutely nothing. They share two air mattresses and one of the mattresses has a hole. Recently the mom lost her car due to an accident. Their needs range from A to Z. She tries to support her family by cleaning homes.
H.O.P.E. is making every effort to see that this family has its needs met to start their home over again but also try and bring some Christmas joy and hope to the children. We will hopefully interview the family this week to assess the total situation and give you an update. The family comes highly recommended from one of our partnering agencies. If there are any H.O.P.E. members, friends, donors, and or acquaintances who feel they can help; please contact Leo at 410-859-1297. As always we thank all of our supporters for their gifts of time, talent, and treasure.
