Current Available Positions

Chesapeake Family Life is looking for someone to interview guests for our weekly podcast Third Floor Views. The podcast focuses on home, health and education for families living around the Chesapeake Bay. Knowledge of the area and what is happening in the community would be very helpful. Experience interviewing people is also a plus. 

The actual interview is about 30 minutes. Allow an additional 15-20 minutes for setup and post comments. The interviewer will also be responsible for coordinating interview times and working with staff at Chesapeake Family Life to plan topics and people to interview. Total time expected for each interview is approximately 5 hours. Pay will depend on your experience. 

The interviews are done using Zoom and when possible, live interviews with a Facebook interface is encouraged. After the interview the video is downloaded, edited and then uploaded to our YouTube channel and embedded into the podcast page on Audio of the interview is also edited and converted to podcast format.

Our mission is to connect parents with great local businesses through print publications, online advertising, e-enewsletters, social media and events. We are looking for “hunters” who will be responsible for prospecting and selling print and digital ads to small and medium size businesses. We are searching for results-driven sales professionals who can conduct marketing sales calls, have the ability to identify the business owner or decision maker, present a marketing plan and close the deal.

Traits of a successful account manager include:

  • 2+ years sales experience
  • High energy and results driven
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently
  • Resilience and an ability to overcome objections
  • Computer proficient and comfortable using cloud-based programs for reporting and customer management

You will also be required to attend weekly staff meetings, training in Annapolis and report on daily progress.
