Is it too early for a holiday trip? What about a day trip during spooky season?

Talbot County Women’s Club—just under an hour from Anne Arundel County—is holding its annual Candy Land Adventure, which features crafts, pumpkin decorating, games, raffles and story time on Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Fans of the classic children’s board game will have the chance to navigate a life-size version and participate in games amid all the familiar haunts of the colorful kingdom, including Lollypop Woods, Peppermint Forest and Gumdrop Mountain. Kids can even meet Queen Frostine!

Winning tickets will receive special prizes, and the fun continues inside The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #5118 on Glebe Road in Easton. In addition to children’s activities, parents can raffle for themed baskets or purchase handmade gifts in Candy Land Bazaar.

Proceeds from the event will support preservation of the Women’s Club’s historic house in Easton, as well as the nonprofit Talbot Community Connections. Children are among the organization’s benefactors, through the Talbot County Children’s Advocacy Center, as well as families in crisis. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.
