Celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day at a parade

Take the kids to a parade to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Jan. 15, 2018. There are two taking place in the area — Annapolis and Baltimore.

MLK Parade Balt.2 WThe Annapolis parade starts at noon at Amos Garrett Boulevard and travels to Annapolis City Dock. It will include music, floats, bands, organizations and more.

Baltimore’s parade runs noon-2 p.m. down Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard from Eutaw Street to Baltimore Street. More than 70 groups will participate in the parade including high school and community bands, equestrian units, lively dance squads and civic organizations. Singer and songwriter Brave Williams will be this year’s grand marshall. There will also be colorful floats.
