Chesapeake Family Life received three awards at the culmination of the Parenting Media Association 2024 Design and Editorial Awards Program in October.

The national trade association of regional parenting companies recognizes excellence in editorial, design and digital each year, with members across the United States, Canada and Australia. Awards were presented at the PMA’s annual conference in Chicago Oct. 17-18.
Chesapeake Family Life came out on top in two different categories, winning gold in editorial for Travel Feature and gold for Special Section, with lead designer Lonna Koblick’s design of the “Maryland Summer Fun Guide.”

Contributing Writer Eric D. Goodman’s story about visiting Dublin, Ireland, as a family offers selections “just off the well-beaten tourist paths” and “a deeper look into Ireland’s heritage,” according to judges. The trip offers an educational experience for both kids and parents.

Chesapeake Family Life also earned a silver award for its “Thursday Event Newsletter.”
“The inclusion of articles that go beyond just things to do gives this newsletter an added dimension for families who may need something beyond suggestions for activities,” judges note.
