From hot chocolate with homemade marshmallows to bundling into the car with pillows and blankets to see the lights, it’s the traditions that the kids remember most around the holidays. Chesapeake Family ask readers to share their favorite holiday traditions. Over the next several days we will share their traditions with you. Check them out and see if there are any new traditions to start in your family this year.
Visit from the Jammie Fairy
Every Christmas Eve, while the kids are taking their showers, the Jammie Fairy delivers new, festive pajamas for them to wear to bed that night. They are always so delighted as this signifies the real start of the Christmas festivities and gives a clue as to whether or not they made the good list. Once freshly showered and in the new matching PJs, each family member gets to open one gift before bed. The Jammie Fairy tends to leave the adults their pjs wrapped under the tree, so that is the gift we open. This silly tradition is so loved the kids wear their jammies all year!
