Chesapeake Family readers share their treasured traditions: The Ernest family

traditionErnestWThis week, Chesapeake Family is sharing favorite holiday traditions. Today’s favorite tradition is from the Ernest Family of Gambrills

Pajama day at grandmas

We wear our Christmas pajamas to grandmas every Christmas morning. It is a family favorite. We also put Santa’s magic key — which doubles as a tree ornament — on the front porch on Christmas Eve since we have a gas fireplace. We feed the reindeer, hide the pickle ornament in the tree, and have visits from the Elf on the Shelf.
