Chesapeake Family readers share their treasured traditions: The Rosario family

traditionsRosario1WThis week, Chesapeake Family is sharing favorite holiday traditions. Today’s favorite tradition is from the Rosario family of Germantown

Behaving for Fred the Elf

On Dec. 1st, our Elf on the Shelf, Fred, comes to us from the North Pole. We welcome him with a huge breakfast. Then the kids write their letters to Santa and we bring out our behavior calendar. It’s a great way to start off the holidays with an incentive to behave because our elf is reporting to Santa every night. The Kids get excited to see what great entrance Fred will cone up with every year. Last year he flew in on an underwear air balloon!
