Both outdoor and indoor ‘hands on’ experiences are key to the TALS approach! The Annapolis TALS Education Program (for children 3yrs.-9yrs.) is grounded in the belief that education opens opportunities for children to participate in helping to create and shape their own lives. Creativity, interests, ideas and questions are valued and children are regarded as extremely capable. Children’s enthusiasm and excitement for learning come from making ‘real world’ connections that are personal & meaningful to them. Through play, observation, small group instruction, in depth studies, problem solving, dialogue, journaling, reflection, documentation, and exploration-the love of learning comes alive in math, science, the arts, language, reading, writing, and technology. TALS on-going commitment to best practice creates a dynamic and welcoming environment and is committed to working in partnership with families to provide a rich and joyful childhood. Half day Preschool, Pre-K & Open Studio-Workshop programs (ages 4yrs.-9yrs.) offered Sept. through June.
