If you have a fussy baby who’s impossible to sooth, physical therapy and osteopathy might be just the answer.
“You may wonder how an infant, with no specific injury, can benefit from physical therapy, yet, if we think about it, the act of coming into this world is a bit of a traumatic experience,” explained Tara Diel, a physical therapist also trained in osteopathy who has a private practice in Laurel. “Physical therapy on infants has been found effective at lessening the frequency of ear infections, decreasing colic, reducing reflux, and improving sleep patterns, among other things.”
