May is a crazy month. It’s probably where the word mayhem originated. That pretty much describes our life over the past month. Thankfully it’s ending soon cause I’m about ready to send out the mayday signal.
The craziness comes with three kids playing lacrosse (two on two teams) and one swimming. Add to that the normal end-of-the-school-year chaos and life starts spinning out of control.
Here’s a glimpse of our life by the numbers this month:
30 lacrosse games (Maybe more with two tournaments scheduled May 31)
10 lacrosse practices (no time to practice with so many games!)
1 swim meet (These will heat up next month)
19 swim practices
4 orthodontist appointments (for two kids)
3 physical therapy appointments (2 for me, mayhem takes a toll on one’s back)
2 doctors appointments
2 class picnics
1 school wide picnic
1 field day
1 family pizza day
1 eighth grade graduation (two graduates)
This doesn’t include school, work, projects, cooking, laundry etc. There is not enough time in the day in May. It’s a good thing the sun is shining and it’s warming up because that’s the only thing keeping me sane.
