Dealing with family stress over the holidays can be overwhelming. Moms take on a superhero sized list of tasks that they feel need to be done. There are events to attend, presents to buy and family members to please. The “Holiday Blues” are a real thing.

Anxiety over violence, social challenges, and isolation are triggers that can necessitate dealing with family stress.

Signs of Family Stress

Here are a few things to be on the lookout for and if you notice these behaviors it’s time to get help.
  • Isolation – staying at home, not answering the phone or not posting on social media
  • Change in Personality – irritable, crying
  • Impulse control issues
  • Feelings and thoughts of self harm

Most of all, let your friends and family know that getting help is okay.
