A popular branch of Anne Arundel County Public Library inside the Annapolis Mall now has even more for families to enjoy.
Discoveries: The Library at the Mall is about a month into its unveiling of a bigger event room, upgraded Discovery Dock play space and added spaces for kids and adults to spend time in the library.
The $675,000 project funded by Anne Arundel County, with $125,000 from the Library Foundation for furniture and enhancements, points to the library’s success. With nearly 35,000 people attending its programs in the 2025 fiscal year, Discoveries has the highest program attendance of any location in the library system, according to a library news release. Among its most popular programs are kindergarten readiness classes.
The recent renovations include a new spot for middle grade readers and workspaces for parents coming to the library with their kids.
