Bring your pooch to the Truxtun Park Pool for the annual Dogs Days of Summer event Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015.
Annapolis Recreation and Parks is welcoming pups into the pool for some dogie paddle fun from 4 to 7 p.m.
Truxton dog swimRepresentatives from Paws and Possibilities, Dogwood Acres Pet Retreat and Dirty Paws Dog Spa will provide tips on dog behavior training, pet boarding, daycare and grooming — plus there will be free “Pup-sicle” treats, giveaways and raffles!
Here are some dog swim guidelines:
- Well behaved dogs over the age of six months only.
- One dog per human for adequate supervision.
- Owners must provide current proof of vaccination certification before dog is allowed in the pool.
- No dogs in heat.
- Owners are responsible for any mess created by their dog.
The cost is $10 per dog, and payable at the pool entrance the evening of the event. Proceeds benefit the Annapolis Recreation and Parks Scholarship Fund.
