Emergency fundraiser for Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center

cbec damage photoPlan to attend an emergency fundraiser to help out Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center where the pavilion was destroyed by a recent electrical fire.

April 30 Update: Due to flooding and high tides, the location for tthe Pavilion Emergency Fundraiser has changed.

The event has been moved to the Crab Deck located next to Fisherman’s Inn on Main Street in Grasonville. The address is 3116 Main St., Grasonville.

Environmental education programs are conducted in the pavilion for school field trips and summer camps, so the funds are needed immediately to repair the damage.

The fundraiser is April 30, 5-7 p.m. and will be hosted by the Bay Area Association of Realtors. There will be appetizers donated by local restaurants, beer and wine and celebrity bartender, County Commissioner Phil Dumenil.

The event location changed from what was initially planned because of flooding and high tides. The fundraiser will take place at the Crab Deck, 3116 Main Street, Grasonville, 5-7 p.m.

RSVP by April 27. Tickets are $35 per person ($25 is tax deductable). To purchase tickets visit the Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center’s website. Contributions can also be made online or mailed to CBEC, P.O. Box 519, Grasonville, MD 21638.
