Take the kids on a new Eco-Exploration at Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center in Solomons this summer.
The new staff naturalist, Hester Burch, will take kids on a hands-on exploration of the natural world on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Each week, the group will explore something different — birds and feathers, snails and slugs, butterflies and moths, ticks and mosquitoes and more!
Kids are also invited to bring in their own natural treasures for a show-and-tell. Most programs will include a make-and-take-home nature craft, made in the eco-friendly artLAB.
Summer dates include Wednesday July 22, July 29, Aug. 5 and Aug. 19.
Families are welcome. Follow Annmarie Garden’s Facebook page to learn the topic for each week’s Eco-exploration at www.facebook.com/annmariearts. No registration is required and participation is included with regular admission of $5, adults; $3, youth 6-17; and free for kids 5 and under. Visit the Annmarie website for details.
