Family fun at Baltimore Boat Show

Baltimore Boat ShowTake the family to the Progressive Baltimore Boat Show this weekend and find something for everyone.

There will be more than just boats and boating gear at the longest-running indoor boating sales event in Maryland. This four-day show also features daily seminars, a fly casting competition, crab picking contest and plenty of activities for the whole family. There will be readings by “Blackbear the Pirate” author Steve Buckley, kids’ toy boat building and photos with Spoungebob Squarpants. Also new this year, Meet R.J. and Jay Paul Molinere, stars of History Channel’s “Swamp People.”

The show runs from Jan. 23-26 at the Baltimore Convention Center. Hours are Thursday and Friday, 11 a.m.- 9 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $12. Visitors 15 and younger are free. For details visit the Baltimore Boat Show website.
