Celebrate Earth Day with a run and a family friendly Earth Day Expo at Quiet Waters Park April 22.
The Run for Nature Earth Day 5K will be held to benefit the Friends of Quite Waters Park Nature Center Campaign. The rolling course will be mostly on paved park trails through the wooded parkland. Walkers, children, pets and strollers are all welcome. Packet pickup is 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. and the race starts at 9 a.m.
After the run join in the fun at the Earth Day Expo from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Activities will include face painting and henna, live displays, ranger led programs, demonstrations by master gardeners, junior ranger programs, Bird Club led programs and more.
The run is $25; $20 for youth. The Expo is free. For details or to register for the run visit fqwp.org.
