Kernel Rating (out of 5): 0
MPAA Rating: PG-13 Length: 102 minutes
Age Appropriate for: 14+. Lots of violence, including shooting, stabbing, torture, cut-off fingers, a brutal mixed martial arts fight, and the like; cursing; drug use; and weirdly prevalent sexual material, including the threat of rape, implied sexual situations, and characters in bed together.
‘Alex Cross’ is supposed to be a thriller, but it’s a ridiculous bore, full of terrible acting, sunk by a laughable script, and with an oddly misogynistic bent. Who made the mistake of thinking Tyler Perry could really act? And who approved the creation of a movie this useless?

“Taken 2,” you are not alone! “Alex Cross” is the second movie in a month to earn literally no praise from me, and that’s because it deserves none. I’m not being harsh, just fair—and it’s fair to hope that this movie crashes and burns.
