Kernel Rating (out of 5):
MPAA Rating: R Length: 92 minutes
Age Appropriate For: 17+. Take a “Jackass” skit and extend it to a full-length film, and this is what you get. Drinking, drug use, lots and lots of cursing, bathroom-themed humor, male and female nudity (breasts and male genitalia), a striptease done by a male child dressed up as a sexually provocative female, and lots of other inappropriate stuff. Impressively crude and stupid.
‘Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa’ continues the TV show’s stupidity more than a decade after the show stopped airing on MTV. Impressively crude and vulgar, the film—despite starring a child—is definitely not appropriate for them.

The longevity of MTV’s “Jackass” is almost impressive. More than a decade after the show stopped airing on MTV, through the death of one cast-member, “Jackass” has remained in the pop culture lexicon. But the franchise’s latest film, “Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa,” is just as stupid as you would expect. With time does not come wisdom.
