Kernel Rating (out of 5):
MPAA Rating: PG-13 Length: 105 minutes
Age Appropriate for: 12+. There’s cursing and “disturbing” content, including lagoons of animal waste and pictures of starving and dead animals, but it’s not too overwhelmingly dire for kids used to watching the news.
‘Last Call at the Oasis’ is an effective-enough documentary that you’ll be ashamed and terrified by its end. But it’s a slow-moving 99-minute trek to get to the final warning about how we’re treating the world’s water.
