Kernel Rating (out of 5): 0
MPAA Rating: PG-13 Length: 99 minutes
Age Appropriate For: 13+. Lots of fantasy violence, but it’s largely bloodless, even though there are numerous fights to the death, gladiator-style. Also some implied sexual content, when the invisible Zeus visits a woman during the night and she makes sexual motions and noises, and a few kissing scenes and a couple waking up together after having sex. Overall, though, this all pales in comparison with how utterly stupid and superfluous this movie is.
‘The Legend of Hercules’ is the first truly awful movie of 2014. Don’t do this to yourself.

“The Legend of Hercules” is not, in fact, at all about the legend of Hercules. There is nothing recognizable from Greek mythology in this film, no accurate depictions of legendary characters or rivalry or history, and it’s all supremely idiotic. Don’t do it to yourself. Don’t, don’t, don’t.
