Age Appropriate for: 13+. Cursing, but more importantly, weighty emotional issues about death and the responsibility of the living. Young teens and kids can see it, but there isn’t enough animal-related humor to really cater to that demographic.
Director Cameron Crowe likes liking things, and that kind of unbridled enthusiasm for everything shows in ‘We Bought a Zoo,’ which tries to be serious, funny and sentimental and ends up not fully anything.
