A group of students from Ferndale Early Education Center received a big check the other day from Target.
The grant for $11,000 will be used to purchase 15 iPads, a MacBook Pro laptop, and a syncing cart in support of the school’s Improving Reading Readiness Skills through Technology project.
“This means so much for our little school to have the funding available to acquire some of the newest technology for our youngest learners,” Ferndale Early Elementary Center Principal Lisa Rice said. “For 3-, 4-, and 5-year olds to have iPads in their hands will only help to build the confidence and technological skills needed as a 21st century learner. We are very excited that we will be able to share these resources with parents as partners in their child’s education.”
