Free walk-in flu clinics in Annapolis and Glen Burnie

Seasonal flu vaccines at walk-in clinics in Annapolis and Glen Burnie.Starting Oct. 1, the Anne Arundel County Department of Health will provide seasonal flu vaccines at walk-in clinics in Annapolis and Glen Burnie. No appointment is required.

Vaccinations are free, however, donations are appreciated. Both the injectable and the nasal-spray vaccines are available. The nasal-spray vaccine is for healthy people ages 2 to 49, but it is not for pregnant women. The clinics also have the high dose flu shot for people 65 years of age and older.

Pneumococcal vaccine is also available. The Department of Health provides vaccinations at the following locations during weekly walk-in clinics (except for holidays):

Glen Burnie Health Center, 416 A Street, S.W., Glen Burnie, 410-222-6633

  • Tuesdays** and Fridays, 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • **Tuesday, October 16, will have extended hours: 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Parole Health Center, 1950 Drew Street, Annapolis, 410-222-7247

  • Mondays and Wednesdays, 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The following clinics will be held at the Health Services Building, 3 Harry S. Truman Parkway in Annapolis:

  • Oct. 11, 9 a.m. to noon, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Nov. 8, 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends the flu vaccine for anyone 6 months of age and older. For more information, visit the Department’s website at aahealth.org or call the Flu Information Line at 410-222-7343.
