Why not take a day to watch planes fly overhead at nearby Friendship Park?
At Friendship Park you will find a playground and access to the BWI trail. The trail goes through the woods, so there is plenty of shade on hot days. The best part is that the park is on the other side of Dorsey road from the airport, and planes fly directly overhead as they are about to land or after they have taken off.
The planes are very low when they fly over Friendship Park because are so close to the runway, so the kids will love getting an up-close view of the planes. A day at Friendship Park watching the planes and having a picnic is a good way to spend a nice summer day with the kids.
