Bring the whole family to the Naptown barBAYq Contest & Music Festival this weekend.
This two-day celebration of music and food features live performances on three stages, activities for the whole family and the chance to sample delicious BBQ.
The festival runs May 3-4, at the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds in Crownsville. Hours are Saturday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, noon to 6 p.m.
The kids will love the Kids Korral with a moon bounce, obstacle course, magician, arts & crafts station, spin art, balloon artist, crazy hair station, photo booth and more — all free. Kids can also test their skills at carnival games and a cornhole tournament will be fun for all ages. The Cheetahs will be back from last year and performing on Sunday.
If BBQ is not your thing, there will be plenty of food vendors with other choices.
Tickets are $15 at the door but kids under 13 are free. Proceeds benefit the Anne Arundel Medical Center and Boys and Girls Clubs. For details visit the Naptown BarBAYq website.
