Are your kids bored out of their minds now that school’s out? Are you losing the battle that is your child’s screen time? Try one of these kid-friendly activities to get out of the house and experience something new, whether it’s paddleboarding, attending a student production of “Alice in Wonderland” or trying your hand at teapot art.

Mommy & Me Paddle
July 1 & 18, 6-7 p.m.
Join Capital SUP paddle-guide Allie at Nautilus Point in Annapolis for a 60-minute paddleboard session with other local moms (and dads) and their children, ages 3-6.

Extreme Sports
July 19, 7 p.m.
Families can take part in the excitement of extreme sports by attending a local bicycle motorcross race at Chesapeake BMX in Severn.

Student Theater
July 19-21 & 26-28, 8 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
See a student production of “Alice in Wonderland” adapted for audiences of every age at the Compass Rose Theater in Annapolis. Don’t be late (for a very important date!).

Family Tea Cup Painting
July 23, 6-8 p.m.
Try your hand at teacup art! Paint a unique design or learn how to paint “Beauty and the Beast” favorite Chip at Courtyard by Marriott Bowie. Kids are encouraged to dress up! Families can purchase tickets through The Red Apron Artist.
