Many are fun holiday events you might not have had a chance to hit before Christmas. Others are specifically winter break fun.

ICE! A Charlie Brown Christmas
Through Jan. 1, 2019. Walk through hand-carved ice sculptures and slide down ice slides at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor. This year’s exhibit depicts holiday favorite, “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and is crafted out of 2 million pounds of ice. ICE! is just part of the resort’s Christmas on the Potomac, which includes events such as Santa visits, gingerbread decorating and, this year, a mini cirque holiday show.

Through Dec. 31. Hop on board a wonderland of family fun and activities at The B&O Railroad Museum’s Magical Holiday Express. Live performances, model trains, story times and train rides are just a few of the planned activities.

Choo Choo Barn’s Holiday Display

Through Dec. 31. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Forty-five minute Spa Creek cruise aboard the Miss Anne, while the boat is decorated in reindeer antlers and a lit up red nose.
